From 6 August, the new rules will come into force to regulate access for some activities open to the public, where entry will only be allowed to people in possession of a Green Pass.
What changes for managers? How to validate the Green Pass and which rules must be respected?
Here is a brief guide for the managers of the businesses involved.
The rules of the Green Pass: what will change from August 6
According to the new rules, the Green Pass is a certificate attesting to the anti-Covid vaccination or the negative result of a swab performed in the last 48 hours.
The certificate will be essential to access places and activities such as:
- Catering services for consumption at the table, indoors;
- Shows open to the public, sporting events and competitions;
- Museums, other cultural institutes and places and exhibitions;
- Swimming pools, swimming centers, gyms, team sports, wellness centers, even within accommodation facilities, for indoor activities;
- Festivals and fairs, conferences and congresses;
- Spas, theme and amusement parks;
- Cultural centers, social centers for indoor activities and with the exception of educational centers for children, and summer centers;
- Activity of gaming rooms, betting rooms, bingo halls and casinos;
- Public competitions.
The control of the validity of the Green Pass remains the responsibility of the manager, who will have to bear the burden of organizing the control procedures and effectively managing the flows at the entrance, under penalty of fines up to 1,000 Euros, as well as the risk of closing from 1 to 10 days.
What to do to validate the Green Pass: the governmental app and useful devices
The information to be validated will be contained in a QR code, which can be presented both in paper format and on devices such as smartphones and tablets.
The operator will have to take care to check the effectiveness of the Green Pass, through a government app: VerificationC19. Available both on the Google Play Store for Android devices and on the Apple App Store, the application allows you to scan the QR code and recognize its validity and authenticity.
For privacy issues, the app will only communicate the name and surname of the Pass owner. Consequently, the verifier will have to perform a second check with the customer’s identity document.
The verification of the Green Pass must therefore provide for an adequate procedure for the entrances, which if it already exists for activities that require the payment of a ticket at the entrance, it remains to be thought in the bars and restaurants where the cash transactions are of usually performed at the end of the service and, in any case, already inside the premises.
It is also necessary to have adequate devices to collect QR code scans and on which to install the government app.
